Hello, I'm Sophia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Zürich, Switzerland.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of my life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn't in our long-term plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were overwhelming— unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, unease, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, met other families, and began building something that felt secure.
Why I Built Lucid Field Muse
Most information you find online is either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism board resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Switzerland continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Zürich or anywhere in Switzerland, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sophia
